Mini Myo (ages 3–5)

What is Mini Myo?

Mini Myo is a playful, short-term myofunctional therapy program created especially for young children. At this age, therapy looks different — attention spans are short and habits are still forming. Mini Myo is designed to introduce oral awareness, establish healthy breathing patterns, and make therapy fun and approachable for little ones.

Why Choose Mini Myo?

Early intervention can make a big difference in growth and development. Mini Myo helps children who may have:

  • Open bite from pacifier or thumb-sucking habits
  • Tongue ties or oral restrictions
  • Mouth breathing or difficulty keeping lips closed
  • Narrow palate or jaw development concerns
  • Restless sleep or snoring

What's Included in the Program?

Mini Myo is a four-session intensive, structured for young children to succeed. The basic goals of myofunctional therapy are introduced and reinforced through playful, age-appropriate activities that make practice fun and engaging. Parents are also given simple at-home strategies to reinforce progress between visits. The program covers:

  • Oral awareness and tongue posture training
  • Healthy breathing and sleep habits
  • Fun exercises to strengthen lips, tongue, and facial muscles
  • Parent coaching for daily routines and gentle habit support

What Happens Next?

Children graduate with healthier oral habits and improved function, but Mini Myo isn't the "end" for most kids. Some may go straight into early expansion or growth guidance, and the majority will circle back for a fuller, tailored program when they're developmentally ready.
